NSBE Junior
NSBE Junior is a pre-college program that aims to develop young leaders and introduce them to the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields. It is modeled strongly after the collegiate student organization NSBE and draws many of its functions and programs from this organization. It will give students the opportunity to develop and gain a higher level of responsibility and leadership. NSBE Junior aims also to help students excel professionally as well as academically. The program will prepare students for college and expose them to the resources necessary to get them on to a higher institution of learning.
Academic Success Program (ASP)
The program targets low achieving students in local high schools in the areas of math and science. The main goal of the program is to instill values of cultural awareness, personal responsibility and academic success through discussion, planned activities and tutoring from NSBE members. It will consist of several NSBE members traveling to the school and helping the students with whatever subject they made need help with, as well as exposing them to engineering with team building activities. By getting the students to strive for success now, it is the goal of the program to help them develop a hunger for success that will continue throughout their lives.
Pre-College Initiative (PCI)
The Pre-College Initiative program aims to stimulate interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields while creating a pipeline of academic success for students in grades 9-12 to attend college.
